This year, the Ion Center for Violence Prevention celebrates 50 years of working to take the best care of people who have been impacted by power-based personal violence and to measurably reduce the number of people who have been hurt by it. Over the past 5 decades, we have offered free, confidential, 24/7 services to the clients and communities we serve. We understand that safety is just the beginning, and at our core, we believe in the power of safe. Safe homes, safe schools, safe relationships, and safe communities. We believe it only takes a spark and want to thank you for your support of our agency through the years.
As we enter this milestone year, we are so excited to announce a brand new event! We loved hosting Dining to Make a Difference for 16 amazing years, but it was time to create something new that we hope you’ll love! Get ready to kick up your boots because this year, on April 11th, we are hosting our inaugural Boots & Bluegrass event! This fun event will be held at the incredible Mt. Lawley Farms and will include live Bluegrass music, a best boots contest, auction, games, dinner, open bar, and more! We will end the evening with a sunset toast in honor of our 50th year and all the future holds for our agency and those we serve!
