Boots & Bluegrass Raises $45K!

The inaugural Boots and Bluegrass event was a boot scootin’ success, raising $45K for the Ion Center for Violence Prevention! The incredible Mt. Lawley Farms venue and land, was a beautiful backdrop for this fun event. The sold out event included catering by Kim’s Southern Table, open bar, a silent auction, games, and so much more! The Liquor Store Ring Toss game was a fun addition to the event, where attendees could pay for 3 rings and a chance to get ring around a bottle. The game had attendees hooting and hollering for their ring to be a winner! The Best Boots contest was a huge success with more than 20 people taking part in the contest. Those that entered got to walk around the venue to show off their boots! Attendees got to cheer on the contestants as a way to vote. Sharon Cooper won the Best Boots contest with resounding applause and cheers. The evening ended with a sunset toast in honor of Ion Center’s 50th anniversary. In her toast, Christy Burch, Ion Center CEO, said, “we keep going because every door that opens here is the beginning of something new.” She went on to thank guests for attending and for helping to keep the promise of the agency and it’s work alive.

Thank you to everyone that sponsored, donated, attended, or volunteered to make this event a success!

Special thanks to our Presenting Sponsor Womack Family Farms in memory of Dolores Womack, Fire Sponsor Mrs. & Dr. Bedouin & Randall Dennison, and Flame Sponsor The At Home Chef (Ken & Julie Durbin).
